A local developer plans to build the first luxury senior residential community for Radnor Township, replacing parts of Valley Forge Military Academy. The acquired 23 acres currently holds a few unused campus buildings along with 21 homes that once housed VFMA staff. Most of those buildings will be removed in order to make room for a complex of 7 three-story buildings (300 beds) that will make up the senior living community. Five of the original homes will be renovated for the new center’s employee housing. Along with the new complex, the Oak Hill project will add stormwater controls, and will preserve more than 2 acres of open space with its existing trees.

The land at Oak Hill overlooks the beautiful St. David’s Golf Club, making it a wonderful place for people to spend their later years. A senior living complex is a new venture for the developer, having previously specialized in building luxury homes. Providing more comfortable housing for senior residents is something that Radnor Township desperately needed. WL Capital has been working closely with the developer and the community to facilitate the best plan possible for all parties.
